Di Acetone Alcohol
Diacetone alcohol is an organic compound with the formula CH3C(O)CH2C(OH)(CH3)2, sometimes called DAA. This colorless liquid is a common synthetic intermediate used for the preparation of other compounds, and is also used as a solvent.
Application
The main use for di acetone alcohol is as a solvent for water-based coatings ,It is also used in the making of artificial silk and leather and in imitation gold leaf. DAA is also a component of gravure printing inks, wood stains, and wood preservatives, and can also be found in degreasers and metal cleaning compounds
